Yehey Money supports foreigners in Japan by enabling easy remittance to their families in the Philippines.
Yehey Remit

About The Project
Yehey Remit was created to help foreigners, especially those in Japan, easily send their hard-earned money to the Philippines and other countries. The system works across international borders and supports real-time currency conversion between Japanese Yen and Philippine Peso.
To make it safe and reliable, we included user verification and login security, encrypted the database, and built a fast, real-time processing system. The platform works smoothly on both web and mobile app.
One important part of the project was following the legal rules between Japan and the Philippines. We had to integrate transaction history, follow API-based compliance, and work closely with Yehey’s legal team to make sure everything was by the book.
This was a mid-sized project, and we followed the usual steps in the software development cycle. We used the Agile method, which helped us build and improve the system in smaller, manageable phases.

Plex Bit’s team from Idaan led the project, with two senior engineers, one junior engineer, a testing engineer, and our creative team all working together. Thanks to strong teamwork and clear communication, we completed the project even before the estimated deadline.
Overall, it was a fun and rewarding experience. We learned a lot, especially about compliance, and delivered a system that helps people save time and money when sending money home.

The Challenge
The points system and real-time exchange rate feature took longer to build than we expected because the engineers first had to understand and follow the rules and requirements properly.
Impact Made
The Hey remit money transfer system is fast, has a strong backend, and helps non-native Japanese people by saving them both time and money.
